My Rap Sheet

Some Stats:

-Bemidji State University in 2005 - Bachelor of Science
-Johns Hopkins University in 2008 - Master of Arts in Teaching
-Hamline University in 2010 - Reading Specialist Certification

I've taught at...a rural school in Northern Minnesota on a Native American Reservation during and after college for two years, large urban high school in Baltimore with Teach for America for two years and stayed an extra year on my own, moved home to Minnesota and had a short stint at a charter school (like months before I ran away to my current school), and am now snugly positioned at a large city high school for the past 5 years.

Currently I'm pursuing National Board Certification and becoming more involved in nonprofits that are concerned with educational equity and rigor in Minnesota.
